Too Many Things

This is a poem I wrote about a year ago while I was finishing my Bachelor's:

Too many things
Are piled high
On my little bed,
On my card table,
On my desk,
On my breakfast table.
All these little spaces
Now raise up
The clutter that I can't deal with
And my thoughts that I don't want to think
Yet
Today I swept the floor
So I can walk barefoot
On hardwood kisses.
