Poems Born in a Rainy Night in November

I long for human touch and what I get
is the rain.
Many fingers
touching my face
Letting go
And leaving a
cold mark where they were.

when I am hungry
my hunger
bores holds through my soul.

God calls to me on a telephone
---and even as I write these lines
I can hear
certain men in my life saying,
"You believe in that crap!?:
You're smarter than that."
